Organic gardeners and horticultural professionals know that one of the secrets to having great lawns and gardens is having great soil. And that means a porous, well aerated soil where roots can grow deeply and where biolife can thrive.
Compacted soils cause unhealthy plants, lawns and trees. They stay soggy when wet, and turn rock hard when they dry out in the summer. When soils are "tight", necessary air, water and nutrients cannot move through the soil. Disease occurs. Roots are stunted. Beneficial micro-organisms can't survive. Plants are stressed and weakened. When you are doing everything else right, soil compaction will ruin all your efforts.

But when combined, you get the synergistic effect of aeration plus bio-activation and end up with an unbeatable soil conditioner.
Application Rates:
FOR COMPACTED OR HIGH CLAY CONTENT SOILS apply at 4 oz per 1000 sf. If using a hose-end sprayer, set it to 1 - 2 oz per gallon of water. Spray enough to wet the top of the grass or bed. Water in afterwards.
Do a follow up application 1-2 weeks after the initial application has been watered in. Then re-apply every 1-2 months. More frequent or heavier applications can be done for extreme clay conditions.
FOR GENERAL MAINTENANCE of improved or better soils, apply at a minimum of 2 oz per 1000 sf. every 1-3 months. For these lighter applications, set your hose-end sprayer to 1 oz per gallon of water.
